Eleanor

$27.00

an oak-aged ale refermented on foraged elderberries

Placing a focus on the beautifully fragrant blue elderberry, Eleanor represents both our aim to feature native northwest fruit for our beer and the importance of foraging local ingredients. We think of this one as a farmhouse ale reminiscent of a Beaujolais wine, with vibrant notes of pomegranate, cherries, and raspberries with hints of cinnamon and clove from the oak. We’re getting a rounder acidity and more punchy fruit profile in this batch, balanced nicely by the oak and a pleasantly dry finish.

As always, thank you to our good friend Alex Harwell at Cultivate Cascadia for her knowledge and hard work leading our foraging for the brewery – this program would not be possible without her guidance and serious dedication to sustainable foraging in our home state of Washington.
